For the December issue of VOGUE Arabia, Toni Malt created this wonderful modern interpretation of the Executive Fashion Director's 80's vision.
It was an early morning start for the Hair & Makeup Team at Toni's personal studio. The beautiful model Liz had arrived the night before flown in from New York, so the morning started with Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Balm to rehydrate her skin from the 15-hour flight. Instead of washing the face mask off with water, it was left on used as a base for the foundation. This aids in achieving a glow from within and keeps the skin hydrated all day.
Mac Paint Stick in Hi-Def Cyan mixed with Marine Ultra and Rich Purple was used to map out the shapes of both the bottom and top eye makeup. Pat McGrath Blue 002 pigment was then pressed onto the paint stick base on the top lid, MAC Pigment Violet was pressed onto the bottom lid. To brighten the inner corners of the eyes Toni used one of her kit favorites Illamasqua loose pigment Breathe (now discontinued). The same pigment was pressed just above the pupil onto the top lid to add definition and depth.
Rimmel nude matte lipstick was dabbed with the fingers onto the lips to polish up the look.
